My husband Ian was an apprentice with TAA in the 1960's, working at the Airport from just 17 years old for 38 years.

We have always lived close by and carried with us an interest in the Airport and aviation.

Some of these photos belong to my dear friend Lee Pennington. She and her sister Dale are the twins featured in the photographs. They are with their mother and other relatives at the Ansett terminal in 1954.

Lee’s father, Ronald Pennington, was head of the Maintenance Department (DCA) at Essendon Airport for many years before relocating to Tullamarine.
