I remember visiting Essendon Airport on a school excursion in the early 70’s.
My school was Lilydale State School. We were given a tour of the airport on the day and we were also very lucky to go on board a TAA Electra aircraft. Our whole class were aloud to take turns in sitting in the cockpit!
Fabulous memories from more than 50 years ago. How fortunate we were – kids of the 70’s!
