A Victory Air Pageant celebrating the cessation of the Second World War was held at Essendon Aerodrome on the 1st September 1945.
The Pageant was put on by the RAAF and the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm for the benefit of the Australian Comforts Fund. It attracted approximately 100,000 to Essendon Aerodrome.
