Essendon Fields is invested in continuing to create an active community that thrives, as we’ll be a part of it both every day and into the future.

With over 100 years of innovation, Essendon Fields is continually building upon our history of aviation and progression.

1 million Melburnians live within 15 minutes of our Precinct, a figure that’s forecast to grow by another 250,000 people in the short-term, positioning Essendon Fields as an economic engine room for Melbourne’s Northwest in the years to come.

Our vision is to deliver an urban renewal precinct with capacity for more than 20,000 jobs over the next 20 years, whilst operating an airport that connects Melbourne to the regions and beyond, and providing a critical base for emergency services: the airborne heroes that protect us all.

New facilities, for businesses big and small, are set to ensure the next generation of entrepreneurs make their mark.

We’re also protecting our local environment today, for a sustainable tomorrow. Essendon Fields redistributes more than 335,000 litres of rainwater per month from hangar rooves to our onsite tree farm and has cultivated 10,000 trees for the Precinct.

Additional solar panels, new runway lighting systems, more planting and an extensive Bioswale network to redirect and filter storm water all add up to a brighter, greener future.
