In 1973 my friend Geffrey Pentland and his repair team made Japanese Zero aircraft in one of the hangars at Essendon Fields Airport.

Zero, also called the Mitsubishi A6M or Navy Type 0, was a fighter aircraft. A single-seat, low-wing monoplane used with great effect by the Japanese during World War II.

One of those aircraft is now on display in the National Museum of Nature & Science in Tokyo.
