The Essendon Aviation Symposium and Airshow was held in November of 1984 and brought throngs of Melburnians and aviation enthusiasts alike to the precinct.
Kym Beasley was the Minister for Transport at the time and was a guest speaker on the day. There was the opportunity to take a complimentary joyride in the Ansett B767-200 VH-RMH which had only just been delivered and was on display for the public to view.
